The Knowledge Channel (TKC) Africa in partnership with 3FM, TV3 and YALI West Africa have implemented a unique business pitch competition that helps to identify, train and invest in entrepreneurs (especially women and young pioneers) across various sectors and industries.

After two seasons of successfully implementing the Business Pitch Competition with over 85,000 votes and pitches combined; we believe that this concept is scalable and inclusive to all businesses and entrepreneurs across Africa.

It is a business piching competition, which offers entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to pitch their business for 1 minute via either an analog or smart mobile phone from wherever they are across the African continent. We aim to showcase their businesses across the African continent and the world.

The Africa Business Competition is a pathfinder for TKC Africa. We identify, train and invest in African entrepreneurs who are start-up businesses and SMEs, as well as developing a pipeline for local and international investors. The focus of this show and competition is to encourage and promote businesses with distinctive, strong and measurable social impact (ie. especially agro-businesses - which is approximately 75% of Season Two's entrepreneurs).

The Africa Business Competition is an expansion of the Business Pitch Competition where the winners from the West Africa countries will have the chance to win a once in a life time opportunity that will spur their path towards entrepreneurship success. They will get the opportunity to have an all expense paid trip to Ghana to be part of a 3 days intensive training and workshop, after which they will pitch their businesses live on television and with a studio audience to a panel of investors and judges at the Africa Business Competition grand finale.
The winner receives $10,000 in cash, market access, 12 months Business, Media and IT Suport and an opportunity to attend the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Regional Leadershio Centre (RLC).

Entrepreneur with a viable start-up or SME that is currently in operation.
